Alon Sachs from Mobelli talks to the Cape Times about Mobelli, the outdoor furniture specialists.

'Mobelli has always held the belief that outdoor furniture should be affordable, comfortable and, most importantly, be manufactured to an extremely high standard. Quality is what differentiates Mobelli.  There are many cheap imitations out there, but these will not last for long and consumers end up having to spend more money on outdoor furniture a couple of seasons later.
Quality outdoor furniture is a pre-requisite for South African homes. The UV rays are harsher here than in any other part of the world and that puts extra pressure on the lifespan of outdoor furniture. It stands to reason that furniture sold to the South African market place should be of a high quality to withstand the harsh UV yet affordable enough so that many people can enjoy it. Mobelli outdoor furniture is infused with a special agent which helps inhibit the UV rays which are so harmful to furniture.

Affordability is also a key pillar of the brand. Mobelli have not increased their prices since 2009 - even though the rand-dollar exchange rate has taken a tumble. We would rather make outdoor furniture more accessible than out price it for the average home-owner.'

The launch of the Mediterranean collection

The cost effective Mediterranean range is made from sturdy, scratch resistant, powder coated aluminium frames with technowood arm rests and Batyline sling.
Constructed from a polyester fibre with a polymer coating, Batyline sling, which is produced by Ferrari, is snag proof, fast drying and flame retardant.
The range consists of lounge suites, sun loungers, and dining chairs. The Mediterranean range is stackable, making it easy to store.

My journey has begun with Mobelli and it is already one that makes me wake up in the morning and smile because it is a brand I believe in. When I came for my interview, I walked into the showroom and in that moment I knew I had embarked on a very special journey. Sometimes in life you will never truly know the passion one feels for something till you sit with them face to face in their 'home' and let them tell you about what it is their Brand stands for. I was lucky enough to have that moment with Alon and Aviv and when I heard them speak about Mobelli and what Mobelli means to them and the world of Outdoor Furniture and what they want to bring to the South African consumer, I wanted to know where the dotted line was and where I needed to sign. Their passion compels you to want to be a part of the Mobelli - Outdoor Furniture world and walk your friends onto your deck or to your outside area and proudly state, "This …. is my new Mobelli Outdoor Collection….".
