Care

The guiding principle at the heart of the Mobelli philosophy is the promise that our customers should not have to slave over and maintain their outdoor furniture. We truly believe that outdoor furniture should be enjoyed rather than slaved on and thus all of our products are made with that thought in mind.

Furniture

All that is required of you is to keep the furniture clean. No sanding or oiling are necessary. All you have to do is hose it down with water. No detergents, no oils - just plain water to clean the dust off. Should you have some stubborn dirt that won't come off, please use a mild soap with water (dishwashing soap for example) and clean away.

Our Garden furniture is made from High Density Polyethylene which is a type of plastic that, besides being environmentally eco-friendly, does not allow anything to stick to it. Even superglue will not stick to it, making it perfect for outdoor living.

The Southern African sun is extremely harsh due to the high UV rays radiation we suffer from the hole in the Ozone layer above us. These UV rays are responsible for degrading everything which is left outside. To ensure that your furniture lasts longer, we suggest you keep it in more shady areas (where possible). We recommend cushions to be left on the furniture at all times as the cushions are UV protected and are Teflon coated. In any event, why bring cushions inside every day? After all, the Mobelli outdoor living philosophy is hassle free outdoor living.

Cushions

Most of our cushions are made from Acrylic fabric which has been UV treated and Teflon coated. Acrylic is the perfect fabric for outdoor furniture as it is naturally resistant to mould and mildew. The Teflon coating means that water and other liquids will not penetrate the fabric easily, ensuring easy cleaning. The fabrics we stock are all treated with UV inhibitors and depending on the fabric, guarantees against fading range from 3 to 5 years.

Please note that dirt which may accumulates on the fabric will cover the Teflon molecules and we have found that dirty areas are prone to water seepage. In addition, Mould and Mildew will never grow on the fabric but may grow on the accumulated dirt, hence, please ensure that the cushion fabric is kept clean.

Furniture Covers

During prolonged duration of non-use we recommend that you purchase furniture covers. These are not expensive and will ensure your furniture will last longer. Mobelli makes custom designed cushion covers for customers. Please contact us for a quote.

One Touch Umbrella

The One Touch Umbrella is by far the worlds' best cantilever parasol. Special care should be taken to ensure that the umbrella is not subjected to high winds as it is a fair weather umbrella. Always close the umbrella when not in use and please use the umbrella cover if you are not planning on using the umbrella for a period of time. Q20 or any other lubricant which repels water should be used on the wheel wells not and again to ensure that rust is prevented from building up on the screws. If you find the One Touch Umbrella to squeak when opening and closing, applying some Q20 to the moving part will sort the problem out. Finally, when placing or removing the cover on the parasol please be careful to treat is lightly. Harsh pulling and tugging will tear holes in the area where the poles are. This is not covered by our guarantee so please be careful.
